Maxene Magalona trended on the social networking site Twitter last Sunday because she got off-tune while singing “Pare Ko” with her brother Hero on Party Pilipinas.
In an interview by Joey de Leon in Startalk TX on Saturday, Feb. 4, Maxene admitted that among the Magalona siblings, she’s the only one who can’t “sing.”
Aware that she’s not the singer in the family, Maxene cleared the issue that she’s NOT planning to release a recording album, hence the Party Pilipinas incident last Sunday.
“Actually natatawa ako sa buong isyu na ‘to, talagang ginawang big issue siya, ayon, wala akong planong gumawa ng recording album, pero ayun, siyempre di ba, yung tatay ko talagang isa sa, ahm, music legends sa Philippines…”
Joey asked her a follow up question: “Nabanggit mo ang tatay mo, palagay mo kung nanonood ng number mo na ‘yun si Francis, ano sa palagay mo ang sasabihin niya sa ‘yo pagkatapos?”
“Well, alam kong pagtatawanan niya ako at the same time ang sasabihin lang niya is, you know, ang nakuha ko talaga sa daddy ko is, no matter what happens, the show must go on,” she replied.
