The Positive: “Snow White and the Huntsman” trumped the previously shown Snow White movie “Mirror Mirror” with regards to costumes, makeup, production design, musical score and special effects. Charlize Theron’s performance lingers.
The Negative: Kristen Stewart’s “monotone” acting will remind you of the “Twilight” movies. The film’s dark take on the Grimm’s fairy tale, on the other hand, will remind you of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy. What I did not like is that the screenplay set aside the tale’s romantic angle.
