After almost a month of online voting, Starmometer announced on Thursday, November 28, the result of the annual poll for 100 Sexiest Men in the World for the Year 2019.
The poll kicked off last November 2 after the 125 nominees were divided into 5 groups of 25 male celebrities. Netizens from around the world voted for their favorites from each group. The Top 8 from each preliminary poll advanced to our final poll, also known as the “battle of the Top 40,” which started last November 14 and ended at 12:00 noon of November 28.
Kim Taehyung, also known as “V,” emerged as the leader in the final poll after getting 171,266 votes or 27.17% He bested last year’s winner, Jeon Jungkook, who settled for 3rd place this year with 111,564 votes or 17.7% This year’s runner-up is Park Jimin who garnered 129,388 votes. Rounding off the Top 4 is the oldest BTS member Kim Seokjin who got 31,152 votes.
China’s Xiao Zhan came in at no. 5, Turkey’s Can Yaman secured the 6th slot, and Philippines’ Alden Richards finished the race at no. 7 position. Two South Korean actors and one K-pop star complete the Top 10 namely Ji Chang-Wook (#8), Park Seo-Joon (#9), and Choi Min-Ho (#10).
