BTS, this generation’s most popular boy band in the world, bagged the Best Group and Best K-pop categories at the recently-concluded MTV Video Music Awards as expected.
In the new category Best K-pop, the only Korean Billboard chart-topper bested Blackpink, Monsta X, EXO, NCT 127 and their little brother group TXT.
RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Suga, Jin, and Jungkook were absent during the ceremony as all of them are on vacation, their first free time since they debuted in 2013.
