Tuguegarao native Luke Baylon sang his own reggae version of “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys during his audition on “Idol Philippines” but unfortunately, he only got 1 yes from the panel of Judges.
James Reid said “You have a voice and you can sing. It’s just lacking a bit with hitting the notes and the timing.”
Moira dela Torre said “May kulang e.”
Vice Ganda said “Hindi ganun kalakas ang dating sa akin e. Alam mo yun, it’s not extra special.”
Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, the only judge who gave him a ‘yes,’ said “Ako, actually, I enjoyed it. It wasn’t a very clean performance, I did like your falsetto, I didn’t care sa ‘pagkadumi’ ng performance kasi it’s reggae.”
Luke’s audition is currently trending at no. 2 of YouTube Philippines trending videos just next to ZAYN and Zhavia Ward’s “A Whole New World” MV. As of this posting, it already garnered a whopping 3.1 million views!
